Bean Patties
This is a vegetarian version of patties that may require a bit more effort but is certainly much healthier.

Ingredients
- 
120 g Beans, grains 
- 
0.5 piece Onion, raw 
- 
1 piece Carrot, fresh 
- 
40 g Breadcrumbs, dried 
- 
1 spoon Peanut butter, smooth 
- 
1 piece Egg, fresh 
- 
3 pinch Salt, table 
- 
1 pinch Spices, pepper, black 
- 
5 spoon Wheat flour, white, multi-purpose 
- 
pieces Oil, vegetable oil, canola 
Steps
- 
Open the can and drain the beans well. Place them in a colander, rinse under running water, and drain thoroughly. Peel the onion and finely chop it. Peel the carrot and grate it finely.

Reserve about two tablespoons of the beans, and place the rest in a food processor. Add the egg, grated carrot, peanut butter, breadcrumbs, and onion, then blend all the ingredients into a thick puree. Season with pepper and salt to taste, and add the two tablespoons of reserved beans. Mix well and let it sit for about an hour.

Prepare a separate bowl with flour. With wet hands, shape the mixture into 4 patties and coat them in flour. Place a pan on the stove and heat the oil. Fry two patties at a time for about 3 minutes on each side until they turn golden brown.

Then place the cooked patties on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Serve them on plates with your chosen side dish.

Advice
The patties can also be prepared on the grill, in which case they should be cooked for about 4 minutes on each side. The oil used for frying should be enough to fully cover the bottom of the pan.
