Ingredients
Marinade
-
60 ml Soy sauce, shoyu
-
30 g Koruzni škrob
-
2 spoons Water
-
2 spoons Oil, vegetable oil, canola
-
700 g Meat, chicken, breasts
-
pieces Sesame seeds, dried
Sauce
-
180 ml Juice, orange
-
2 spoons Sugar, brown
-
1 spoon Koruzni škrob
-
1 spoon Soy sauce, shoyu
-
1 spoon Hoisin sauce
-
2 teaspoons Vinegar, apple
-
1 teaspoon Orange, shell
Steps
-
Rinse the chicken under running water and pat it dry with paper towels. Cut it into bite-sized pieces. In a bowl, mix water, soy sauce, and cornstarch until smooth. Add the chicken and mix well to ensure the marinade evenly coats all pieces. Let the chicken marinate for 5 minutes.
-
In a small bowl, mix orange juice, brown sugar, cornstarch, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and grated orange zest until smooth.
-
Heat oil in a wok (or deep pan). Add the marinated chicken pieces (discard any excess marinade) and quickly stir-fry them. Once the chicken is nicely golden brown, pour in the orange sauce. Cook over moderate heat for 4 to 6 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly. Stir the dish frequently while cooking.
-
Sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced green onions over the prepared dish. Serve with noodles or rice.
